As a Community Liaison at the Behavioral Health and Wellness Program, I am involved in several projects simultaneously. Among my primary responsibilities are assisting organizations to implement and enhance tobacco treatment services and policies, supporting our work with vulnerable populations, performing research to build our programs, and assisting with the provision of technical assistance throughout Colorado. Additionally, I help to lead tobacco and wellness trainings locally and nationally, and support the development of our training materials.

My career began after earning a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Delaware. After several years in the work force, I returned to school to earn a Master of Public Health in Global Public Health from the University of South Florida, as well as a Certificate of Marketing from Georgetown University.

The bulk of my professional experience has been in the greater healthcare field, working across a variety of settings, including textbook production, program management, research, and field work. Before joining BHWP, I worked as an intern in Czech Republic and Romania, supporting their public health initiatives related to tobacco cessation and research and violence against children, respectively. I continue to work as a freelance writer on occasion, and continue to collaborate with partners in Czech Republic to edit and write tobacco research publications.

In my personal time, I maintain my own physical and mental wellness by playing several different sports, running marathons, hiking, reading, and spending free time with family and friends. Travel is another great passion of mine, and I have been lucky enough to have visited over 60 countries, and to have lived in several of them. As a Colorado transplant, I have greatly enjoyed exploring the state and all of the wonderful things it has to offer.
